Public Speaking/Corporate Training

You want to bring in a speaker to inspire and educate your team - and give them a break from their everyday work.

When you’re investing in your team, you want them to have “lightbulb” moments – and fun.

So they feel both excited to bring new ideas back to work – and refreshed.

It can be a tough combo to find: someone who’s both insightful and charismatic.

Sheila Devi is that combo.

“I reached out to Sheila because she’s an expert on a topic we’re interested in: resilience. I was amazed at how much she researched the real estate industry and customized her talk specifically for our Coldwell Banker audience. Several attendees said ‘it felt like she was talking directly to me.’ I got compliments on her as the keynote, which is exactly what you hope for as someone who books speakers.”

Core Presentations:

"Great Leadership Starts Here"

These are extraordinary times.

How do you show up as your best self when everything about work is harder (and life outside of work is harder, too)?

You’ll learn a simple and powerful framework that will help you:

  • let go of stress… so you feel better fast,
  • see more viable options in any situation… so you don’t have to wait for hindsight to be 20/20, and
  • feel more confident leading others… so you can worry less, do more of your best work, and sleep better at night.

The content of this workshop is the foundation of my work with every coaching client.

It will help you step up to the plate as the kind of leader that 1) team members dream of and 2) organizations value.

“Great Leadership Starts Here” looks at the first two core competencies of Emotional Intelligence (EQ):

  • “self-awareness” and
  • “self-management.”

This workshop is impactful on its own – or can be powerfully paired with “Leading Teams Today” (which tackles the final two core competencies of EQ).

————–

Workshop Length: 2 to 2.5 hours.

Paired, the two workshops can be presented:

  • on different days (2 to 2.5 hours each) OR
  • on the same day (4-5 hours with a one-hour break between parts).

"Leading Teams Today"

  • Quiet Quitting…
  • not-so-quiet discontent…
  • the Great Resignation…
  • a team that’s being courted by other companies…

What worked as a leader (or seemed to work) in 2019 doesn’t cut it anymore.

You need to understand how humans work (and how to work with humans) when they’re stressed-out, burned-out… and close to wanting to get out.

You’ll learn three concrete tools that will help you work with people (who’ve been pushed to their limits over the last few years) so:

1) they feel better,

2) they’re easier instruct and advise, and

3) everyone can get back to doing their best work.

When you’re able to generously engage with your team in these tough times, you’ll inspire their top performance and their loyalty.

“Leading Teams Today” looks at the final two core competencies of Emotional Intelligence (EQ):

  • “social awareness” and
  • “management of others.”

This workshop is designed as a follow-up to “Great Leadership Starts Here.”

————–

Workshop Length: 2 to 2.5 hours.

Paired, the two workshops can be presented:

  • on different days (2 to 2.5 hours each) OR
  • on the same day (4-5 hours with a one-hour break between parts).

    "Healthy Boundaries in High-Stress Fields”

~ Do you ever say “yes” when you want to say “no?”

~ Have you ever done something with a smile (while secretly seething)?

~ Is it hard not to be upset when someone else is upset?

    You’ll learn:

    • why boundaries are in the best interest of you, your clients, your team, and your company.
    • how to say “no” without the word “no”… so you don’t come across as negative, selfish, or not a team player.
    • word for word, what healthy boundaries sound like…that make other people actually want to honor them.

You’ll go from working until midnight, trying to get everything finished before a deadline, to having calm and focused time for each project… so you can do the high-level work you’re capable of (and put it away at the end of the day).

Talk Length: 90 minutes to 2 hours.
    Workshop Length: 3 hours.

“Bounce Back from Setbacks: Make it Your Best Year Yet"

Sheila presented this as the Keynote at Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group’s annual conference (in-person in February 2020).

    You’ll Learn:

    • how to see the bigger picture… so you always have options
    • the #1 shift that will help you ace tough conversations (and sleep better at night).
    • how to turn any situation into the best thing that ever happened to you… so you never have to look back and kick yourself.

This is a highly customizable presentation that will help attendees to become more resilient so they can go from feeling tired and frustated (from what it takes to be successful) to confidently surfing the waves of work.

Workshop Length: 90 minutes to 2 hours.

“How to Answer Life's Big Questions”

Sheila has presented this topic at large conferences, including Chicago Ideas and the World Domination Summit in Portland, OR.

She walks attendees through a six-phase process so they can make smart decisions around potential career changes, relocations, etc….

    You’ll learn:

    • a step-by-step process that will enable you to answer any question confidently.
    • how to minimize stress in decision-making.
    • how to uncover possibilities you’re not seeing.
    • the biggest mistake people make when considering their options (and how to avoid it).

With this workshop, you’ll be able to consider any big decision…without worrying that you’ll look back with regret.

“Sheila is a positive ray of light. I didn’t know what to expect when my team participated in group and individual coaching. Our first session was scheduled for several hours, which flew by. Every moment was interesting and intriguing. I left the first coaching session replaying conversations and scenarios. It provoked much thought and reflection. My co-workers agreed. My individual session was equally thought-provoking. I continue to use the tools Sheila taught. I left feeling positive, more calm, and more in control. I highly recommend Sheila for speaking and coaching.”

She gave us helpful and simple skills that we can all apply going forward – both professionally and personally. Sheila engaged with our group through role-playing which further demonstrated how these simple (but powerful!) replies and skills work in real life situations. Thank you Sheila!”
